The silhouette of gruesome factory
Is seen against the clear far reaching sky
And contrasts beauty of the sea below;
The classic lengthy fight of man and God.
The view is poisoning my fragile mind,
as I hear yet another train go by.
The trees are screaming silent with the sea
And animals, well, them we just ignore.
I wish to be a bird and fly away,
Though even then my lungs may be as grey
as smoke that rises from those chimneys every day.
